Coming to look at Sequim homes is exciting, but you may wonder what it will be like. Here’s what it looks like for my clients. I often pick my clients up at their hotel or at a Bed & Breakfast. We have a cup of coffee, get to know each other a little better, and then we head out to look at homes. It is always a lot of fun, and my clients always enjoy themselves. When you come to Sequim, the first person you meet and get to know may be your Realtor. If your Realtor is your first impression of Sequim, then I will do my best to make your first impression a good one.
A Tour of Sequim Homes
Over the past two days I gave a couple the grand Sequim tour, as much as we could do in two days. After a delightful conversation at my office (aka Starbucks), we headed out to our first home. It was located 10 minutes east of Sequim a short distance in the hills. On five acres in a private location, this custom home was built in 2009. It is a short sale and a reasonable price at $340,000.
The second home was near a golf course, and although it was built in 1989, it has a solid floor plan and a great country view with the Olympic Mountains as a majestic backdrop. At $295,000, it is nestled on a beautiful one acre parcel surrounded by a variety of beautiful native northwest trees.
“Are you ready for lunch? We’re buying.” Of course, I readily acknowledged my need for sustenance, and we broke bread and steak at Applebee’s. Our lunch time was full of great conversation, stories of our children, and plenty of laughter.
Sequim Homes and Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!
There are many interesting sights to see when you come to Sequim. If you visit our famous Olympic Game Farm in Sequim, you can say you have seen lions and tigers and bears, oh my! The Farm is full of wild animals, one of the training grounds for famous animals used in Disney films. I lived adjacent to the Game Farm when my children were young, and we would wake up early in the morning to the guttural roar of lions being fed. But I digress. There are many interesting sights to see in Sequim.
The Marine Tour of Sequim Homes
Our last home on the second day of our tour was a delightful surprise. Near Marine Drive and a pleasant walk from the beach and boat dock with the Dungeness Lighthouse in the distance, this home is the kind of high quality custom home and floor plan that is one in a thousand. My clients spent a long time at this house, making plans, arranging furniture, and in their mind’s eye planting shrubs here and there. Our departure from this property was punctuated by nature with two august Eagles perched on large branches. It was apparent their keen eyes were gazing over the Bay seeking their next prey. I pulled my car off the road while my clients snapped a few digital images of the Eagles. As we got back into the car, we noticed a deer laying in a field about 100 feet away. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a Disney animated film in Sequim. Friendly animals are everywhere.
Looking at Sequim homes is fun, a lot of fun. Come and look at Sequim homes and have an adventure you won’t forget.
