Sequim Bay is an extraordinary bay in the Northwest on the North Olympic Peninsula just two hours west of Seattle. John Wayne Marina, which is on Sequim Bay, is the local favorite place to dock your sail boat. In this video, you’ll take a ride on a sailboat, which is actually a MacGregor, a hybrid of a sailboat and a motor boat that can move along at 25 knots under power, on a round trip to Port Townsend.
Sequim Bay to Port Townsend
Both Sequim Bay and nearby Discovery Bay are sheltered bays off the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and both are favorite bays for retirees moving to the Sequim area. Who doesn’t want a water view from their home, and who wouldn’t want their own private pier or dock?
As you might guess, water view property on Sequim Bay is very hard to find, and you always pay more for the best water views, but that’s true anywhere. Even so, a water front home or a beach front home on Sequim Bay is a fraction of the price of a similar home with a similar view in California.

You’ll find some of my John Wayne Marina videos on Youtube, and on this blog, and if you want to search homes on a Sequim MLS site or look at homes on Sequim Bay, you’ll want to go to Sequim-Homes.com.
