I strongly recommend driving around Sequim and Port Angeles before deciding ultimately where you want to live. Some people love to visit both Sequim and Port Angeles on one or more trips, and that usually helps affirm where you really want to be. You can also wait and get familiar with the area when you come to look at homes, and I’ll be glad to put homes on the tour that will give you a good feel for Sequim and Port Angeles. As you know, location is everything in real estate, and location is certainly the first consideration for all my buyers. The ideal home in the wrong location would not be good.
Touring Sequim and Port Angeles
While showing homes and driving around Sequim and Port Angeles, buyers usually have a lot of questions for me, and having lived here for 20 years, I am generally able to answer most of those questions. I thought I should mention this, because I’ve realized that this is an important part of the home buying process. Buyers want to know about differences between the two cities, including the geographic limitations of the Sequim Blue Hole, the availability of shopping, big box stores, restaurants, crime rates, property taxes, water issues, septic systems and which areas have problems, social issues, and many other important issues that affect the quality of life where you plan to live for the rest of your life.
Sequim and Port Angeles Q&A
When you are looking at an area like Sequim and Port Angeles (and maybe Port Townsend), there are many issues to consider, and while specific real estate issues are your primary focus, all the other issues about living in an area are clearly important if you are going to have the quality of life you intend to have in this next phase of your life. This beautiful home in the photo above is one I sold recently to a couple after we toured both Sequim and Port Angeles, and we talked about almost everything while comparing Sequim and Port Angeles. This home is located between the two cities up in the hills. It is absolutely perfect for this couple, and they are so happy and so excited about moving into their dream home. This home was the needle in the haystack, and sometimes the perfect home is hard to find, but driving around really helps decide on the first and most important decision–the area you want to live in, whether it is Sequim and Port Angeles or somewhere in between.
