There is a key to find the best Realtor. This real estate blog is all about helping buyers find and buy their ideal home (or land), and you’ll find more powerful tools to help you do that on this blog and through the links of our affiliate sites listed in the right margin than anywhere else. And you can use all these tools free and without obligation. You don’t even have to register to use either of our powerful Sequim MLS sites. No pressure, no obligation, and yet we give you more solid information and tools than any other company or broker in the entire Sequim area. Period. But the issue I want to address right now is what I call the key to find the best Realtor. Is there such a thing and if there is, what is that key?
Finding the Best Realtor – Qualifications
I’m going to assume you know how to search for and discern fundamental qualifications of any Realtor, including real estate knowledge, years of experience, market presence, professionalism, integrity, and so on. Beyond the importance of the Resume, there are other qualifications that you will want to consider, such as communication skills and your first impression. Putting it all together, would it be fair to say you want to find the best Realtor you can to represent you? Of course you do. I have written articles on this blog about how to actually find a great Realtor and what qualifications will serve you best, especially in a buyer’s agent. But there is a key underlying all of the specific qualifications and the due diligence you ought to do. That key is something called “passion.”
Finding the Best Realtor – The Key
How do you find the best Realtor? The key to what makes a Realtor a top producer, or more importantly what makes a Realtor not only very knowledgeable but also devoted and loyal to you as your buyer’s agent is . . . passion. Yes, it is passion to be the best, to be knowledgeable, to be an expert, to be a Realtor of integrity and to do the best job possible for you as a buyer. You want to find the best Realtor who has passion, because only a Realtor with passion cares enough to spend thousands of hours studying to be better, years of hard work to cross every T and dot every I for his clients. He cares enough to stay awake at night asking if he’s missed anything to protect you and to get all the way to closing without problems for you. He cares about what you think and whether you will hate him or appreciate him after all the dust settles. He (or she) is a passionate person.
My argument is that a non-passionate Realtor, one who is cold or not particularly vested in your success, is not the Realtor for you. You expect more. You expect a passionate Realtor who will work night and day on your behalf and who cares about you personally. This is the key, and I believe this key will help you find the best Realtor.
