Job: Sequim Real Estate Assistant for broker of the local branch office of eXp Realty. Sequim Real Estate Broker Chuck Marunde is looking for an assistant. The ideal candidate profile:
- Currently licensed or to soon to be licensed
- Either new in the business or teachable and humble, but confidence is good
- Positive minded and enthusiastic about growing their income
- Entrepreneurial and creative and willing to help build customer relationships
- Should be a good communicator (oral and written)
- Should be able to write clearly (letters and emails)
- Willing to do office work and field work (hanging signs, etc.)
- Willing to meet with clients in their homes
- Must have a computer with Internet and able to work out of their home office
- Must be good with technology (or a quick learner)
This is not a traditional brick-and-mortar business, although I do have a public office in Port Angeles and one coming in Sequim. That’s not what buyers are looking for any more. Buyers are using the Internet. Sellers don’t need a brick-and-mortar office: they want their home or land sold as quickly as possible at the highest price. This business model uses the most powerful technology tools today to bring buyers and sellers together, but we also use principles and marketing and selling techniques that have always been important.
You will be Chuck Marunde’s assistant. Chuck started in real estate sales in Alaska in the mid-1970s, practiced real estate law for 20 years, and came full circle back to real estate brokerage and sales. Chuck is a technology geek, an author of many magazine articles and two books, a enthusiastic salesman, and loves working with positive people who are like minded and want to achieve a higher level of personal and professional success in their own lives. Chuck’s online material has been used by Realtors around the State of Washington since 1995, college professors, and even the Washington Real Estate Division. Chuck has been an adviser to brokers across the country, including many local brokers since 1994. He is a recognized expert in real estate law, brokerage, sales, and online marketing.

Simply put, eXp Realty is way ahead of other brokers in using technology to effectively connect with buyers and sellers, and to allow agents around the country to operate out of their own home office (or a brick-and-mortar if they prefer). Keeping overhead low substantially increases agent income. But eXp Realty also has a revenue sharing plan that his head and shoulders above any other brokerage, and that gives agents the ability to diversify their income beyond the local market by recruiting agents around the country.
Opportunity to grow beyond this assistant position is certainly a possibility, and Chuck will provide training and mentoring second to none. We will be meeting two to three times a week and talking on the phone almost daily. Initially, a commitment of at least 20 hours is required, but the more one works and helps build the business, the more one can make. There is no salary. Compensation is entirely based on commissions. The position should eventually be paying this assistant more than most agents are making in this area.
