Sequim Bay water view or waterfront property is in high demand, and it’s hard to find. But what is especially hard to find anywhere on the beaches in the Northwest, including the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Sequim Bay, is a boat dock or pier. Today I sat on this pier on Sequim Bay on a beautiful sunny day. This pier is a short walk from the home, and the owners leave their kayak and boat on the beach.
Sequim Bay Boat Dock
Most people do not know how much is involved in getting a boat dock or pier approved for a permit under the strict rules of the Washington Shoreline Management Act. It practically takes an Act of God to get approval for a pier like this. Then it can take years to get approved, and then there is the cost. I’ve written in more detail about the value and cost of boat docks in this area: Sequim Bay Boat Dock.
Sequim Bay Piers
Sequim Bay docks are hard to find, and even harder to find is the ideal home in the ideal location with a dock. If you like the idea of living on East Sequim Bay or West Sequim Bay, here are all the listings on Sequim Bay.
