Looking for Sequim land? During the past seven years of recession, Sequim land has hardly been selling. With existing home prices approximately 30% less than the cost of a new home, buyers have focused on buying up the homes in the available inventory. As a result, Sequim land has not been selling, until recently.
We are now in a housing shortage, and buyers are beginning to buy land and build again. But that doesn’t mean finding the ideal Sequim land is easy. I just helped some clients buy a beautiful six acre parcel with a creek running through it, and they will build their dream home facing the mountains. Eight months ago we found the Sequim land they wanted, and it was listed at $105,000. They were willing to pay full price, but suddenly there were four other offers. That’s not something that happens in the Sequim area, so this was a surprise. They raised their offer to $125,000, but they were outbid by someone who paid $155,000 for that land.
