Sequim master gardeners are feeling like they are in Heaven lately as the sun acts as the catalyst for sprouting and blooming of flowers and all things green. I love flowers that are shades of dark blue and purple, and this bee was kind enough to sit for me and my camera.
Master Gardeners Have Fun
There is a very large population of Master Gardeners in the Sequim area, and there is a non-profit set up for Master Gardeners. Their mission is explained like this, “The mission of the Foundation is to educate individuals in applying horticultural science to manage their landscapes and gardens in a science-based, sustainable manner, and to utilize Demonstration Gardens as resources in this pursuit.” Hmm. I get it, but whoever wrote that must have a Ph.D. I’m joking , because I have a doctorate myself, but as a general rule the more education one has, the less one is able to communicate in plain language. LOL.
Master Gardeners Classes
Washington State University has a Clallam County extension office with a class for Master Gardeners. We’re lucky in Sequim, because our soil is rich, the rainfall is sufficient but not too much, and we get plenty of sunshine. What a perfect climate for gardening! And for those who are not master gardeners, well . . . we still get plenty of photo opportunities of the most beautiful flowers and gardens on earth.
