Sequim weather has been incredible lately. Here we are in the middle of September, and every day has been sunny and 70 to 80 degrees. People are out bicycling, hiking and jogging, and boating. Freshwater Bay is one of our most beautiful public boat launches on the west side of Port Angeles, and as you can see in this photo, it was another day in Paradise.
Sequim Weather Perfect
Having moved to Sequim in 1994, I can tell you that one of the most enjoyable aspects of living here is that we do not have the extremes of hot and cold that so many other areas of the country do have. I grew up in the interior of Alaska, and winter temperatures of -50 to -70 degrees (below Fahrenheit) were common. I served in the USAF at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, and summer temperatures of 100 to 115 degrees (above Fahrenheit) were and are common. Sequim weather is the perfect in-between.
Sequim Weather Sets the Standard
Sequim weather sets the standard with most summer days in the 60’s and 70’s, and most winter days in the 40’s and 50’s. You can ride your bicycle all year, or go kayaking throughout the year. This time of year the Sequim weather is amazing.
