It’s been an exciting year so far showing more Sequim homes than in previous years and definitely since the peak of the market in 2005. I’m not jumping to conclusions about a real estate recovery, but I am showing a lot of homes–interesting homes, beautiful Sequim homes (like this home below), Sequim water view homes, mountain view homes, Sequim horse properties, and private estates in the mountains. And then there are also the weird Sequim homes. Yes, we do have some strange floor plans, some odd ideas, and some not-so-good locations (like 50 feet off Highway 101). [Update: This home has been sold.]
Sequim Homes Suddenly Pending
I will be showing a home later today that has been on the market for 8 days, and it is likely my client will write an offer on it. We have looked at many homes, and he knows exactly what he wants and how much he can pay. This home seems to fit that bill. I showed a home last week, and subsequently submitted an offer on it below the listing price, which was too high. The sellers came back saying they could not counteroffer because they would be upside down. They are going to pull their listing off the market as they have now realized they cannot sell it and pay the bank off. They will look at their options. Sometimes sellers are unable to negotiate because they are in financial straits. Sequim homes are sometimes overprice and sometimes priced very reasonably.
Sequim Homes Prices
I received a call this morning asking about a home that had been on the market for two days. It is pending already. As I’ve written elsewhere, “The best homes in the best areas at the best prices are selling like a normal real estate market.” When you find the home you like, don’t dilly dally. Sequim homes are selling.
