The perfect Sequim home. Is there such a thing? Perhaps a better phrase would be, “the ideal Sequim home,” but I like the idea of finding the perfect Sequim home. Why not? You’re planning to retire in Sequim and you will spend the rest of your life in your home, so why not call it the perfect Sequim home. I thought you might like to see what the perfect Sequim home looks like, at least as far as the majority of retirees who move to Sequim are concerned. I just sold this home, so don’t get your hopes up on this one, but this does give you a great example of what you might be able to find.
The Perfect Sequim Home Unveiled
The Perfect Sequim Home
The homes sits on 2.5 acres of gorgeous property gently loved by a master gardener, and the area is quiet and fairly private. There’s a lot of sunshine here and a nice little view of the Olympic Mountains. Nothing blocks the sun throughout the entire day, neither trees, nor hills, nor other houses. There’s a little pond on one end of the acreage surrounded by trees. When my client and I drove up to the house after looking at many homes, we paused for 30 seconds just gawking at what appeared to be the perfect Sequim home. But I wisely told my client, “It’s beautiful, but let’s go inside. Who knows, it could be a dump inside?” That being my super sales pitch, we went inside, but the inside was perfect. The kitchen is well designed, and the countertops, the sink, the appliances, all wonderful.
The Perfect Sequim Home
What would make a three bedroom, two bath home on 2.5 acres the ultimate perfect Sequim home? How about a shop? The shop was set ideally behind the house out back, and it was pretty big with a 15 or 20 foot high ceiling.
Gardening Sheds Too
How much did this home sell for? Would you believe $349,900. Now you know why I called this the perfect Sequim home.

Nothing beats finding your dream home AND being in the perfect position financially to put in a serious offer to buy it. On the other hand, the very last thing you will want is to find is that can’t afford to keep that dream home after you’ve bought it because you haven’t budgeted for additional ongoing expenses like insurance and maintenance. Home insurance coverage is very important so do be sure to include this in your budget when buying a home.
